OFFERS & EVENTS

The Dolomites are the undisputed theater of the Val di Fassa, with the massifs of the Marmolada, the group of the Catenaccio and the Sella. The “Enrosadira” phenomenon contributes to creating the magical halo, when at dawn and at sunset the spiers of these peaks are tinged with pink. If you are a fan of mountain hiking you will find many shelters where you feel pampered and from which to admire the enchanting landscapes. The Alpine villages of the valley have retained their traditional mountain appearance, with typical Tyrolean wooden constructions and characteristic tobiés, barns that characterize the Ladin tradition. Geographically the Val di Fassa is located in the extreme north-east of Trentino, bordering the provinces of Bolzano in Alto Adige and Belluno in the Veneto region. It can be easily reached from the south, through the San Lugano Pass and the Val di Fiemme, and from the north through the passages of Sella or Costalunga. Equipped impeccably, it has always been the ideal setting for international sporting events but also to listen to the fables and legends of these places in front of a lit fireplace.

WINTER IN VAL DI FASSA

All Tyrolean charm

The valley has kept its charm intact and its villages represent its icon of beauty with typical chalets and welcoming hotels. Canazei is the largest and most lively town. Follow the narrow cobbled streets of Campitello, where you will find the lively sports center of Ischia, a large complex with numerous sports facilities including a basketball court and minigolf. Enjoy the sulphurous waters of Pozza di Fassa and its idyllic dolomites. Vigo is nestled in the mountains, but has a direct connection to the Ciampic valley, while the fairy-tale Moena is perfect if you want to ski in Trevalli. But the greatest tranquility you can find in Soraga, the oldest village of Fassa, surrounded by a wonderful forest. The Val di Fassa is part of the Ladin valleys, with ancient Roman settlements in very ancient times, characterized by a cordial and sincere welcome.

Absolutely do not miss the typical dishes and traditional flavors of the valley that express the typical notes of this territory, poor in products of the earth because of climatic rigidity. Canaderli, the famous bread dumplings, lucanica, spinach ravioli, speck, mushrooms, venison, are just some of the local delicacies that you can taste in the many restaurants, shelters, taverns and huts. Do not miss the barley soup and the traditional polenta with sausages and sauerkraut served with melted cheese. You will find simple but also delicious pastry: to the classic apple strudel, with custard and whipped cream, you can alternate the “fortaes” fried donuts served with blueberry jam. The Val di Fassa cuisine is enriched with products from the Val d’Adige, from the olives of Lake Garda to the apples of Val di Non. You will appreciate a considerable quantity of wines produced with the Val d’Adige grapes, which have become famous for their characteristic scent that draw from these lands.
