Sellaronda MTB Tour clockwise provides relatively few meters in altitude to ride uphill thanks to the use of facilities that allow the transport of mountain bikes. There are numerous trails dedicated to the descent, which require a medium technical preparation. The travel time varies depending on the driving ability of the MTB: from a minimum of 5 to a maximum of 9 hours, including lunch break.
The itinerary measures clockwise, a total of 58 km with a difference in height of 3,900 m, of which 330 m to be pedaled.
TIME ROUTE. Departure for the Sella Ronda Bike Tour. It starts with the Canazei-Pecol 101 facility just 20 meters from our structure. Reached Campitello with the Col Rodella cable car you climb up to the Sella Pass, reachable by a short descent. Continuing at the foot of the Sassolungo, descend along a path to Selva di Val Gardena. Then go up with the Dantercepies cable car. Just below the mountain station you come across the first descent: a single trail that leads to Passo Gardena and then continues to reach Colfosco. From Corvara take two more plants before tackling the Alta Via slide towards Passo Campolongo. From here go up the Campolongo chairlift and descend towards Arabba to take the Porta Vescovo cableway. From the mountain station you can admire the spectacular scenery of the icy peaks of the Marmolada and the artificial lake of Fedaia. The descent to the Saletei plant above Arabba is particularly demanding. From the Pordoi Pass a long and scenic trail leads to Canazei.
Sellaronda MTB Tour counterclockwise provides a total height difference of about 1,020 m in altitude to be pedaled uphill and descents that vary from single trails to dirt roads. It is therefore suitable for those who like to ride uphill with or without pedal assistance / e-bike. The travel time varies depending on the driving ability of the MTB: from a minimum of 6 to a maximum of 9 hours, including lunch break.
The route measures counterclockwise, 55 km and 3.370 m in altitude, of which 1.020 m to be pedaled.
ANTI-CLOSE PATH. Departure for the Sella Ronda Bike Tour. It starts with the Canazei-Pecol 101 facility just 20 meters from our structure. With the help of two plants, you reach Col dei Rossi where you can contemplate the Queen of the Dolomites, the Marmolada, and the artificial lake of Fedaia. Here begins a single trail until the start of the Salei chairlift leading to the Pordoi Pass. A very scenic track dedicated to MTB leads up to Burz, from which a further single technical trail will lead to Arabba. After a short stretch on the asphalt road you climb through the woods to the village of Cherz and continue from here to the Inzija meadows above the Campolongo Pass. Then start the descent on the white road up to Corvara. A not too difficult climb leads to Colfosco, where the gondola that climbs to Passo Gardena allows a little rest and a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains, before the descent until the descent to Selva Val Gardena. With the Ciampinoi cable car you get to the slopes of the Sassolungo and along a first short descent on a path also used by pedestrians, you reach the beginning of the Città dei Sassi, which has short stretches of steep ascent to be pedaled. From here continue to the parking lot just below the Passo Sella. After crossing the pass you go down a dirt road sometimes steep up to Campitello in Val di Fassa, then reach Canazei again.
