Almost at the end of the Valvacin slope it is worth stopping to look at the panorama in front of us that offers us the view of the famous Catinaccio / Rosengarten massif. At this point, based on technical skills, you can choose the red Panorama slope or the more recent and technical Vulcano black slope and get to Pozza di Fassa.
Between Pozza di Fassa and Vigo di Fassa a shuttle ski bus will take us in 10-15 minutes to the departure of the Catinaccio cable car. Upon arrival of the cable car we will find ourselves at an altitude of 2,000 meters at Ciampedie, our point of arrival, also called the «Campo di Dio«, which represents a real panoramic balcony over the Fassa valley and the Dolomites and is also famous for the extraordinary Vajolet Towers and the Catinaccio group. This is the ideal location for a relaxing break thanks to the many refuges with terraces from which to once again enjoy a 360 ° view of all the Dolomites.
Time to go back to Cèsa Planber! Excited by the magnificent landscape of the Catinaccio, we descend via the red Prà Martin slope which takes us to the chairlift of the same name. Arrived at the top we descend to the fun and demanding Thoeni slope which, with its 4.5 km length, takes us from Pra Martin to the town of Vigo di Fassa: a «red» with 700 meters in altitude, with curves and fun slope changes for all skiers. Between Vigo and Pozza di Fassa there are regular shuttle ski buses which in 10-15 minutes take you to the departure of the Buffaure cable car, from which the tour continues with the Col de Valvacin four-seater chairlift that will take tourists up to the top.
We continue towards other perspectives of these magnificent panoramas by descending the Pala del Geiger slope to arrive at the departure of the Orsa Maggiore quad chairlift which takes us up along the Val Giumela. Once on the top we will find ourselves in Sella Brunech, from which you have an exceptional view of the Sella group from which the «pyramid» of Piz Boè stands out.
At this point, ready for a very long descent that from the 2,419 meters of Sella Brunech will take us to the town of Alba di Canazei at 1,517 meters. An elevation gain of 902 meters.
